This song "Coming Home" came about while making an overnight drive from Austin back home to Fort Worth. Anyone who's been in a band knows what a beating it is to be driving an old 15 passenger van down I-35 at 4 o' clock in the morning. But as a married man, my gold at the end of the rainbow will always be my family at home. Production-wise, this is the first time using GarageBand on my phone. I was really inspired to read about a guy named Steve Lacy, who uses his phone, almost exclusively, to record all of his albums. I don't think it's in the cards for me to be the next Skrillex, but it's definitely fun to poke around with some electronic instruments from time to time. I'm hoping the analog, full-band version of this song to be recorded and released sometime in late 2018.
