Neff and Jason brought this tune to Hoover's modest home studio to flesh out a demo. Frills were left at the door step. A single dynamic mic was used to record Neff's acoustic/electric guitars/vocals and Jason's harmonies. Jason's bass went in direct. Drums were tapped out in Ableton LIVE, Neff added some piano, and a little synth pad was the cherry on top. Hoover did a little doctoring and arranging on the takes then mixed it down pretty clean with a spot of eq/compression and a little help from the Waves J37 tape machine plug-in.
